I've done the full time CMO role, not just consulting. From board meetings, stakeholder management to hiring and integrating teams within a wider company structure post acquisition.
Many fractional CMOs would be better classified as marketing consultants, as the pivotal role of a CMO in a growing company is one that is only fully appreciated when you have been in the hot seat.
As much as we will have fun working together, I aim to make myself redundant within 12 months. A true fractional CMO is a temporary fix not a long term solution.
